FoxTube, iPhone App

FoxTube is an iPhone app that allows you to browse YouTube videos on your iPhone efficiently. Many iPhone users have the normal YouTube app but the reason I believe the FoxTube app is way more worth it, is because of the capability FoxTube has to allow you to search other videos, exit and text, search the web, check mail, while the video remains playing. While your even searching for your next video, the video screen minimizes itself on your FoxTube app so you can continue to view while searching for the next video. FoxTube also allows all the same things as YouTube does like managing your playlists and signing in to your account but with some extras. For example the FoxTube video player has video speed control and shuffle and repeat options unlike YouTube. In my opinion I would rate this application 5 out of 5 stars and I also believe this app is a must have on any iPhone.

Defining Cave Paintings & Daguerreotype

 Cave Paintings
Cave paintings are found on the walls and ceilings of several caves dating back to prehistoric times. Although there are no proven reasons behind the cave paintings theories state that cave paintings were used as a form of communication to others and at times were created for religious or ceremonial purposes. The themes most common in cave paintings are images of animals, outlined human hands, or abstract patterns. The animals painted on the walls of a cave were usually depicted as Gods by the prehistoric group present there in their time. The paint used was usually made with a mixture of liquid and a pigment and when the liquid dries up the colour is left behind leaving a thick paint like texture. Early cave paintings were created by mixing water and animal fat with different colours of dirt. Cave paintings now are seen as visual communication such as Egyptian hieroglyphics are and were painted by elders or shaman to send a message to another.

Daguerreotype
Daguerreotype was the first commercially successful photographic process. The physical daguerreotype itself is a direct positive made in the camera on a silvered copper plate. The surface of a daguerreotype is like a mirror, with the image made directly on the silvered surface, and the finish plate has to be angled so as to reflect some dark surface in order to view the image properly. Daguerreotype was the main process used up until the 1850's. In order to create the image wanted a long period of light exposure was in order. The first photograph ever created was used with a daguerreotype and eight hours of exposure time was needed.

The Impact Media has on your life/society.

Media has impacted my life/ society immensely by being a great importance to exploration and explanations of the world and beyond. Social media use these days has almost become second nature. Due to the over frequent amount of times we may feel to check our social networking it has become a habit. I find social media has created communication become a lot easier especially with a click of a button. The media is responsible for the awareness of global events and situations being told to the people. The media has made a lot of things in my everyday life so much easier. I find a lot of the people in today's society are a lot more knowledgeable of what's going on in the world because of the "at your finger tips" social networking tools now located in almost every piece of technology.
